Do Animal's Spirits Stay Behind
Animals for many people hold a unique place in our way of life and hearts. It was the case for the dog, Crystal, who unfortunately handed down Monday, May 3rd 2010. She had developed a cancerous tumor in her own mouth in September of 2009. Since September, my loved ones and I knew that we might be confronted with needing to make the decision to place her to rest. A few days before, we felt it was the best decision to create. She had been full of energy up until Monday, but i was concerned that the tumor may spread into the back of her throat, reducing vital oxygen. Afterwards, I used to be sitting with my Mom, and she or he inquired about "Do you think part of her will stay?" meaning her spirit. I immediately answered without hesitation "Yes. I do."
I know that every animal lover who believes in the existence of spirits will accept me. Animals develop their very own personality, and become area of the family. The normal scene in movies and commercials of the loyal dog waiting patiently at the door for you to get home, traveling in the passenger seat of the car or truck using their head within the wind, and coming in your room in the morning to wake you up may all be cliche, but they are all true.
Crystal developed her own personality, and her unique habits. She always laid within our yard on sunny days, making it her passion to chase the kitty across the street when he strayed into the backyard. My father could not go for a drive anywhere without Crystal bounding up the stairs blocking the door until he grabbed her leash. Despite the fact that she might not physically be around anymore, I know that her spirit will visit whenever the neighbors cat is in the backyard, when my father goes for a drive, or to lay in our yard on sunny days. Even speaking with our animals which have handed down may bring their spirit nearer to us.
One of the most common things I have heard others say about losing an animal, is "It takes a while to obtain used to them not being there. You walk in thinking they will be there, and then you realize that it really happened. They aren't there anymore." I finally understood what others had meant by that Tuesday morning. I was expecting to determine Crystal laying in our front yard under the sun. I began to consider, "What if she is really there, and i'm sensing her." Honestly, I believe it is exactly what it was. I was sensing her. You would have it crazy in my experience that she wouldn't visit us.
When others believe they expect their pets to be there, I would be prepared to bet their animal is still there watching them over, making sure that their loved ones is ok. When they know their family is okay, In my opinion they move ahead. This is actually the time when I believe families adjust to and actually know the fact their animal has passed on, since their spirit isn't there as frequently anymore since they know their loved ones is ok. However, they will always visit day to day to say hi and sit in their favorite spots.
