The GAMSAT is scored for each from the three sections individually. The sections consisting of multiple choice questions are first scored right or wrong producing a raw score. You'll receive a score for every from the three sections, together with a general GAMSAT Score. The general Score is a weighted average of the three component scores.
Standards for interviews or admissions can vary for both Sectional Scores and the Overall GAMSAT Score. For example, one particular school of medicine may begin a cutoff (minimum) of 50 or 55 for just about any given Section and 60 for the Overall GAMSAT Score. The GAMSAT can include a small number of questions that won't be scored.
